Designing products and packaging for recyclability to reduce plastics waste to conserve the natural environment is a priority for NGOs, businesses and individuals alike.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Ellen MacArthur Foundation report \u2018The New Plastics Economy has developed a framework of which Charpak are advocates; and are committed to the responsible framework.\u00a0\u00a0Ellen MacArthur Foundation&#8217;s methodology below illustrates the circular economy potential. The report arrives at three conclusions:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul class=\"custom-counter\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Without fundamental redesign and innovation, about 30% of plastic packaging will never be reused or recycled<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul class=\"custom-counter\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">For at least 20% of plastic packaging, reuse provides an economically attractive opportunity<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul class=\"custom-counter\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">With concerted efforts on design and after-use systems, recycling would be economically attractive for the remaining 50% of plastic packaging.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1531229820883{margin-bottom: 25px !important;}&#8221;][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text]The Ellen MacArthur Foundation was established in 2010 with the aim of accelerating the transition to the circular economy.
